Who We Are
Our Story
Owners Jesse and Hayley, being from rural Kansas, have a deep seeded passion for producing high quality beef cattle. Both growing up in an agricultural community and cattle background, Jesse and Hayley attended Pratt College, where Hayley studied pre-vet and animal sciences, and Jesse studied Farm and Ranch Management. While attending college, both Jesse and Hayley received AI certification from ABS Global and studied cattle genetics. After working for major feedlots, ranches, and veterinary clinics in both Kansas and Nebraska, the two moved to East Texas, where they call home and started their family. Establishing H4 Cattle Company in 2020, Jesse and Hayley decided they wanted to use the knowledge that was gained through-out their years, from Jesse working for large cattle operations and Hayley working as a veterinary technician, to begin providing consumers with quality, home-raised beef.

Why Angus Akaushi Cross
The Angus breed has a long-standing reputation for producing superior beef. Our cows give the Angus genetics, while our Registered Akaushi bull provides the wagyu genetics.
There are a few different wagyu breeds to choose from. We chose Heartbrand's Akaushi for specific reasons. The Akaushi breed has a unique trait in that it produces beef with more heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, reducing the saturated fat load. Making it a great, healthy option for everyday consumption.
With this cross, we are still able to get the increased intramuscular fat in order to get the well-known, sought after wagyu buttery taste and melt in your mouth texture. Pairing the two breeds together gives the consumer a top-quality product we are proud to sell.
